How to Write a Famous Blog

Do you want to make your blog famous?  Then this article is for you.

Read on…..

  1. Choose what type of blog you want to create. Carve out a niche and pick a catchy title that captures the essence of your blog. Remember that a blog, like your clothes, is an extension of you.
  2. Some claim that posting at least once every day is best; Some also say that three quick posts a day are far more effective than one long post every three days. Others claim that when they update a blog every other day they get more readers than when updating two or three entries in a single day. Whatever you do remember that for most bloggers, it’s all about reading and many of them would prefer content rather than quantity. Once you get started you’ll find that you attract a certain readership, and you may have to adjust how you work your journal to appease and keep the readers you’ve obtained.
  3. Some recommend putting together about a month’s worth of material before you tell anyone about your blog. I recommend that you just start writing and fame will come in time. Feel free to go back and rewrite entries to make everything just the way you want before or after you “go public.” You can edit any entry at any time with most blog sites. Writing a popular blog doesn’t happen overnight. The essence of the blog stems from journaling which means the blog is FOR YOU. Work it how you feel most appropriate.
  4. When you’re ready, tell close friends about your blog and ask them to tell their friends. Often if you use it as another way to network with those people around you, you’ll get a better response. If you push it too hard don’t be surprised if they ignore your blog because they feel you’re fishing for compliments and attention…remember, blogging is about you, and the more attention you put into yourself, the more people are going to notice.
  5. Look around the Internet for blogs you love. Read and post to them religiously. Leave a note that actually has something to do with their site so that they know you actually took the time for pay attention to the material posted; do not expect anything back in return. Just commenting will cause others to be more likely to visit your and do the same.
  6. Build a network with other people in the blogatoz.com - make friends online. This is the best way to get readers and a great way to meet people you would otherwise never know. If you get one thing from blogging, this will be it.

Tips to Increase Traffic to Your Blog

Just because you have a blog doesn’t mean anyone knows about it or reads it. Like any other website, you still need do some promotion to drive traffic. Otherwise you’re just a needle in the haystack. Here’s a few things you can do start bringing people to your blog.

1) Submit your blog to both traditonal and blog search engines, and ping them everytime you write a new post. For this I use Ping-o-Matic.

2) Post useful comments on other related blogs. This really does generate good traffic. I often click the links of others that have left comments on the blogs I read regularly. I also visit the sites of every single person who leaves a comment on this site, and have come across so many great blogs this way.

3) If you have a lot to say about another blog post try writing about it on your site instead of leaving a comment. But make sure you leave a trackback link. I also read all the trackbacks on my site and can guarantee every other blogger does too. Of course we want to know what others have to say about our posts. Do this everytime you quote or refer to a blog.

4) Make sure you have a RSS feed that people can subscribe to. This will help others keep track of your blog. Very important for repeat visitors.

5) Post often when you first start your blog. As time goes on you don’t have to post everyday but try not to ever go longer than a week without posting. Your blog will start looking like a ghost town and your visitors won’t want to come back if you don’t update it on a regular basis.

6) Write high-quality posts. They don’t have to be long but they need to be good. Give a unique view of your opinions. Try writing something that will create a buzz and get other bloggers to talk and link about your posts.

Don’t give up. It’s hard to build an audience and takes a lot of time and effort. It won’t happen over night, unless you’re already somewhat of a celebrity. Stick with it, if you write unique content eventually you will build a good following.

Using Blogs as Distribution Vehicles

Everybody is blogging these days! Kids, teens, moms, dads, and even grandmas are blogging. Due to the popularity of blogs, and the ease of use, even businesses blog. It could be the business owner blogging, in the case of a small business, or it could be someone hired to blog for a major corporation, such as Microsoft. Everywhere you look, there’s a blog.

You can use blogs in a couple of ways to help your article marketing endeavors along. The first way is to publish your articles on your own blog. Setting up a blog is easy. Most webhosting companies include blogs in the webhosting package, or you can choose a hosted blog, such as that found at www.blogatoz.com

Make sure that your blog has syndication or RSS abilities, and allow your blog readers to syndicate your articles! This is a vital point in using blogs for the distribution of articles.

Simply get your blog set up, set up any categories that you want to have, and start copying and pasting your articles in. Make sure that you use pinging features so that blog directories are updated each time you add content to your blog. Also visit http://pingomatic.com/ to have several services ping your blog at one time as well. This will help increase traffic to your blog.

The second way to use blogs to help your article marketing is to visit other peoples blogs that relate to your niche. When you find a topic that you have written an article about, add a comment, with a link to the articles (preferably to the article posted on your own blog), inviting other readers of the blog to read the article.

In most cases, it would be considered bad form to post your entire article on someone else’s blog. Make sure you simply link to the article instead of posting the entire article, and make sure that the article really is very relevant to the topic at hand.
